Textured Bun

I regularly plan days to build my Portfolio in both hair and makeup, and make the most of the quieter times. Last week I was practicing a high textured bun.

I loved creating this style. I used Dry Shampoo (from Primark) at the crown area for volume along with crimping.

For makeup I created a smokey eye and dewy base. I used Nars Radiant Foundation mixed with Kevyn Aucoin Glass Glow for a dewy finish along with Hourglass Ambient Blush and Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow. For eyes I used my favourite go to Palette, Viseart Neutral Matte with Kiko Milano eyeshadow stick in Golden Brown (such a great product for the price and it's now on sale for £4.89). To finish I used H&M Lipstick Pencil. I absolutely love this product. Its like a thick lip liner but it is so creamy (its not ideal to line the lips if you want a precise line but for a full lip look just swipe it all over). The colour is beautiful (In a Heartbeat) and only £4.99!! I definitely plan on buying more for my kit. H&M are underrated when it comes to Makeup.

I decided to try the hairstyle again to see if I could improve on it. I did find it easier the 2nd time around. I also felt I had more texture this time.
